Breaking news: CAICT signed MOU with AUH on jointly promoting the landing of ASTRON International Supernode in DR Congo

7月18日，2023（第二十二届）中国互联网大会工业互联网“百城千园行”论坛在北京亦庄国际会展中心成功举行。

On July 18, the Industrial Internet “Hundred Cities Thousand Parks” Forum of 2023 (22nd) China Internet Conference was successfully held at Beijing Yizhuang International Exhibition Center.

会上，中国信息通信研究院与非联控股集团举行了“星火•链网”国际超级节点（刚果（金））战略合作签约仪式，双方将共同推动区块链基础设施“星火•链网”在刚果（金）的国际超级节点建设。

In the forum, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and Africa Union Holdings (AUH) held a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation of ASTRON（Xinghuo BIF Global） International Supernode (DR Congo), jointly promoting its landing process.

中国信通院工业互联网与物联网研究所所长金键、非联控股集团北办总代表刘洪志进行了签约，工业和信息化部信息通信管理局一级巡视员王鹏、北京市通信管理局局长苏少林、中国信息通信研究院总工程师敖立、非联控股集团主席James Ndambo（线上）进行了签约见证。

Jin Jian, director of the Institute for Industrial Internet & Internet of Things at CAICT, and Liu Hongzhi, general representative of AUH Beijing Office signed the deal, the ceremony of which was witnessed by Wang Peng, a first-level inspector from the Information and Communications Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Su Shaolin, director of Beijing Communications Administration, Ao Li, chief engineer of CAICT, and James Ndambo (online), Chairman of AUH.

非洲联合控股集团（AUH）总部位于南非，并在中国、赞比亚、博茨瓦纳、刚果（金）、英国、白俄罗斯、阿联酋、等多地设有实体公司或办事机构，是非洲撒哈拉沙漠以南地区多领域投资集团公司，与区域内很多非洲国家建立了长期稳定的合作关系，具有较大影响力。

The Africa Union Holdings (AUH), a multi-sector investment group in the sub-Saharan Africa region, is headquartered in South Africa and has entities or offices in China, Zambia, Botswana, DR Congo, the United Kingdom, Belarus, etc. The company is quite influential as it has established long-term stable cooperation relationships with many African countries in the region.

“星火•链网”国际超级节点（刚果（金））作为主链超级节点之一，可以提供主链共识，内置分布式数字身份等基础服务，聚集和整合基础资源，促进基于数字基础设施的可信数据流通。

ASTRON International Supernode (DR Congo), gathering and integrating fundamental resources, will facilitate the trusted data flow based on digital infrastructure. As a super node in the main chain, the International Supernode (DR Congo) can provide basic services such as main chain consensus and built-in identity resolution. It also realizes the interconnection among various types of blockchains through backbone nodes.

围绕总书记提出的“构建网络空间的命运共同体”的理念，“星火·链网”国际超级节点将为刚果（金）及其他非洲国家提供区块链及工业互联网等技术服务能力，同时利用中国在数字化转型方面的探索——中国方案、中国模式、中国品牌，为更多国家提供数字化的公共基础设施服务。

Focusing on the concept of “building a community of shared future in cyberspace” proposed by President Xi, the ASTRON International Supernode will not only benefit DR Congo but also provide other African countries with technical services such as blockchain and industrial Internet. Meanwhile, by using China’s exploration in digital transformation – Chinese solutions, Chinese models, Chinese brands, it will provide digital public infrastructure services for more countries around the world.

应用方面，双方将共同推动跨境贸易、绿色低碳发展、数据要素流通等多个领域的应用，初期，将在跨境产品溯源、跨境贸易证书验证和产品碳足迹跟踪等多个领域实施试点示范项目。

In addition, both parties will work on its application in multiple fields such as cross-border trade, green and low-carbon development, and data flow. Initially, pilot demonstration projects will be implemented in cross-border product traceability, cross-border trade certificate verification, product carbon footprint tracking and other areas.

关于“星火·链网”About Xinghuo BIF

“星火·链网”是由中国信通院牵头建设的区块链新型基础设施，以产业数字化转型升级为主要场景，以网络标识这一数字化关键资源为突破口，推动区块链的应用发展，实现新基建的引擎作用。秉承开放的建设策略及治理模式，“星火·链网”定位于面向全球服务的区块链新型基础设施，2020年8月正式启动部署。2021年8月3日，中国信通院正式发布了“星火·链网”底层区块链系统（BIF-Core），标志“星火·链网”主链正式启动运行并开始向全球服务。截止目前，“星火·链网”网络规模初步形成，公共服务能力不断建设完善，生态不断壮大。“星火·链网”高度重视国际化发展并构建“星火·链网国际”，依托G20、金砖、上合、中国-东盟、一带一路等国际合作机制，“星火·链网”通过已建设的国际超级节点（马来西亚、澳门），超级节点（厦门、柳州），以及骨干节点（山东胶州、广州横琴）等，充分发挥节点地区业务特色，赋能跨境数字贸易和跨境数据流通，面向东盟、上合、金砖等国家提供国际化服务。此外“星火·链网国际”已经与包括西门子（Siemens）、思爱普（SAP）、松下（Panasonic）等大型跨国企业开展区块链业务合作，携手进一步推动区块链创新应用全球化发展。

Xinghuo BIF is a blockchain infrastructure led by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). It provides services mainly for the digital transformation and upgrading of industries, makes breakthroughs in Internet identifier, increases the blockchain application, and drives economic development. With open construction strategies and governance model, Xinghuo BIF positions as a blockchain infrastructure that provides service to the world and its construction was started in Aug 2020. On 3 Aug 2021, CAICT released BIF-Core, marking the start of its primary chain operation and global service. As of now, Xinghuo BIF has been primarily constructed, with improving public service capabilities and a growing ecosystem. Xinghuo BIF attaches great importance to international development and has been building Xinghuo BIF Global, which is called ASTRON. It has fully leveraged the business characteristics of certain regions to empower cross-border digital trade and data flow through the established international super nodes (Malaysia and Macao), domestic super nodes (Xiamen and Liuzhou), as well as backbone nodes (Jiaozhou, Shandong, and Hengqin, Guangzhou). Supported by G20, BRICS, SCO, ASEAN, BRI and other international cooperative mechanism, and has brought international services to many of these partnership countries. In addition, ASTRON is now cooperating with Siemens, SAP and Panasonic on carbon asset trading, moving towards a higher level of globalization in blockchain innovative application.
